Find out who will attend the energy transition block of the XV Simposio
Conferences and round table discussions will broaden our understanding of this important issue for the mining industry.
The mining-energy transition is one of the main topics to be discussed during the SIMPOSIO – XV International Mining Meeting. Indeed, on the third day of the event, the block “Mining-Energy Transition: Well-being for Humankind” will take place.
The block will begin with a conference by Martin Lambert, head of Hydrogen Research at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies and with ample experience in project development and structuring, economics, marketing, and negotiation of liquefied natural gas. His presentation will include an analysis of the global energy transition process and its relationship with industries such as mining.
Next, Maria Julia Aybar, President of the Committee on Hydrocarbons of the SNMPE and Country Manager of Hunt Oil Company, will moderate a round table discussion composed by Adolfo Heeren, General Manager-Quellaveco, AngloAmerican; Simone Sciamanna, Director UN Peru E&P, Repsol Exploración Perú, Peruvian Branch; and José Ignacio Escobar, CEO of Colbun.
The panelists will discuss the progress and development of new technologies for sustainability, as well as the large investments being made by the industry. Likewise, the Peruvian energy matrix case, new renewable energies, and the role of natural gas will be analyzed.
