Committed to Peru’s heritage
Since its inception in 1994, the Symposium was created with the purpose of showing the opportunities that the mining activity in Peru offers. Thus, the first “Gold Symposium” came into being.
Due to the success of its first edition, the Symposium has continued to be held every two years, with the support of the Peruvian Ministry of Energy and Mines, the World Gold Council, the Silver Institute, among other institutions, and with the sponsorship of prestigious companies.
In its eleventh edition, the Symposium was expanded and Silver was introduced due to its great importance in the development of the country. Now, in this 14th edition, Copper is being added, due to its relevance in Peruvian mining.
Throughout its editions, the organizers have demonstrated their commitment to Peru’s heritage, choosing different archaeological pieces made of gold, silver and copper as the main image.
